LEARN THE WAYS OF THE NINJA.
Hayabusa has always been a popular choice in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang for players looking for a safe assassin.
This ninja from the Land of Dawn has the ability to swiftly eliminate enemies while seamlessly moving in and out of team fights.
However, understanding Hayabusa’s kit may pose a challenge for some players.
But worry not! Here is a quick guide on how to master the Crimson Shadow in MLBB.
Before delving into his playstyle, let’s first familiarize ourselves with Hayabusa’s skills.
Passive – Ninjutsu: Trace of Shadow
Hayabusa’s ninjutsu damage applies 1 Shadow Stack to the enemy.
Each stack increases Hayabusa’s ninjutsu damage by 5%.
Hayabusa can stack his passive up to four times on a single enemy.
It’s recommended to prioritize fully stacking Ninjutsu: Trace of Shadow before unleashing your ultimate, Ougi: Shadow Kill.
First skill – Ninjutsu: Phantom Shuriken
Passive: With each level-up of this skill, Hayabusa gains 3% spell vamp.
Active: Hayabusa throws three shurikens forwards and quickly retrieves them.
The first hit deals 170 (+70% additional physical attack) physical damage.
For the subsequent hits, the damage is reduced to 30%. Each hit restores 10 energy for Hayabusa, up to a maximum of two times.
Additionally, it slows down the enemy by 35% for a duration of 2 seconds.
This skill is essential for Hayabusa and should be used frequently during the laning phase due to its relatively short cooldown.
Second Skill – Ninjutsu: Quad Shadow
Hayabusa has a second skill called Ninjutsu:
Quad Shadow.
When activated, Hayabusa moves in a specified direction and creates a phantom behind him.
If Hayabusa hits an enemy while using this skill, he will stop immediately and release three phantoms that travel in different directions.
When the phantoms hit enemy heroes, they will inflict 130 (+30% extra physical ATK) physical damage and slow them by 40% for 2 seconds.
Hayabusa can also teleport to the location of a phantom by using the skill again.
If the phantom happens to be inside an enemy hero, Hayabusa will deal an additional 130 (+30% extra physical ATK) physical damage to them.
Each time Hayabusa uses Quad Shadow, the cooldown for his other skill, Phantom Shuriken, will be reduced by 1 second.
When using this skill, Hayabusa will throw four phantoms –
one behind him and three in front. It is important to remember the locations of the phantoms and not panic.
You don’t have to use all the phantoms at once.
Mastering the teleportation from one shadow to another may take some time, so it is advisable to practice against AI or in Classic mode to build confidence.
Ultimate Skill – Ougi: Shadow Kill
When activated, Hayabusa transforms into a shadow and swiftly moves across the battlefield, striking enemies with 5 consecutive attacks in a specific area.
Each attack inflicts 180 (+90% of additional physical Attack Power) physical damage.
To maximize the effectiveness of Ougi:
Shadow Kill, it is recommended to use it when the enemy is alone or when Hayabusa’s Ninjutsu:
Trace of Shadow ability has reached its maximum potential.
This skill has the added advantage of bouncing to nearby enemies, making it crucial to identify an opportunity when your intended target is isolated.
The hero known as the Crimson Shadow is commonly played as a jungler, but there is a growing trend of players trying him out in the EXP lane.
If you plan on using him as a jungler, it is recommended to choose the Retribution Battle Spell.
However, if you decide to play him in the EXP lane, Execute is the best Battle Spell to complement his damaging skills.
As for the emblem, the assassin emblem is a good choice for Hayabusa.
You can choose between the talents “High and Dry” or “Killing Spree”.

High and Dry:
Is a perfect fit for Hayabusa because he excels in 1v1 skirmishes.
On the other hand, “Killing Spree” provides HP and a speed boost with each kill, enhancing his survivability in team fights.
Currently, the War Axe item is essential for the Crimson Shadow, as its passive increases his killing potential, especially when he uses his ultimate skill, Ougi: Shadow Kill.
The core items for Hayabusa are Endless Battle, which provides lifesteal and survivability, Blade of Despair for massive damage, and Malefic Roar for dealing with tanky enemies.
Your choice of items should depend on the composition of the enemy team.
If you are ahead, consider getting Immortality.
However, if the enemy team has a lot of burst damage, it is better to purchase Rose Gold Meteor.
When it comes to the jungle blessing, it is recommended to select Bloody Retribution.
This item will allow you to steal HP from enemy heroes, which can be crucial in determining the outcome of team fights.
A simple combination would be to start by using Ninjutsu:
Quad Shadow towards an enemy,
Followed by Phantom Shuriken to stack up Ninjutsu:
Trace of Shadow.
Then, unleash your ultimate move, Ougi:
Shadow Kill.
After casting your ultimate, it is important to leave a phantom behind in case the enemy retaliates.
Additionally, keep a close watch on the enemy’s position and look for an opportune moment to teleport to your phantom.
It is worth noting that teleporting to a phantom where an enemy is present will also inflict damage.
Another tactic you can employ is baiting your enemies by using Ninjutsu:
Quad Shadow towards them, throwing a Shuriken, and immediately teleporting to the farthest shadow.
This strategy gives you a strong poking ability and enables you to easily secure a kill by teleporting back to the enemy when they have less than 30% health.
