LEAGUE OF LEGENDS Bard Guide
Bard Support, in the Emerald+ tier, currently holds a 53.3% win rate and a 7.6% pick rate. It is considered to be in the S tier.
After analyzing 158,517 matches in patch 14.2, the optimal build for Bard includes the items Bloodsong, Boots of Swiftness, Frozen Heart, Kaenic Rookern, and Imperial Mandate.
The most commonly chosen runes for Bard Support are Fleet Footwork, Triumph, Legend: Tenacity, and Last Stand for the primary tree, while Conditioning and Overgrowth are popular choices for the secondary tree.
Passive – Traveler’s Call
Bard has the ability to attract chimes scattered randomly throughout the map. When Bard approaches a chime, he collects it, granting him a 24% increase in movement speed when out of combat for 20 seconds.
This effect can stack up to 10 times. In addition, Bard gains 20 experience points (plus an additional point every minute after the first 5 minutes) and restores 12% of his maximum mana.
Bard also attracts Meeps at a rate of one every 8 seconds, with a maximum of one Meep at a time. When Bard attacks, he consumes a Meep to deal additional magic damage equal to 35 damage plus 30% of his ability power, plus an additional 14 damage per 5 chimes collected.
The Meeps also have additional effects based on the number of chimes collected. Once Bard has collected 5 chimes, his Meeps have the ability to slow the target by 25%-75% (depending on the number of chimes) for 1 second.
When Bard has collected 15 chimes, his Meeps will also hit enemies in an area around and behind the target. Finally, at 35 chimes, the area of effect for his Meeps becomes even larger.
(Q) Cosmic Binding
Bard fires an energy bolt, dealing 80 / 125 / 170 / 215 / 260 (+65% of ability power) magic damage to the first two enemies hit. The first target hit is slowed by 60% for 1 / 1.2 / 1.4 / 1.6 / 1.8 seconds. If the bolt hits a second enemy or a wall, any enemies hit are stunned for 1 / 1.2 / 1.4 / 1.6 / 1.8 seconds.
(W) Caretaker’s Shrine
Bard creates a shrine of health that provides a movement speed boost and heals the first ally to enter. The movement speed boost starts at 20% and increases with Bard‘s ability power, decaying over 1.5 seconds.
The initial heal is at least 25 health and scales with Bard‘s ability power at 30%. After existing for 5 seconds, the shrine grows in power, restoring 50 health initially and scaling at 60% of Bard‘s ability power.
Bard can have a maximum of 3 shrines active at the same time. If an enemy champion enters a shrine, it is destroyed. Bard can use this ability twice before it goes on cooldown.
(E) Magical Journey
Bard creates a pathway through the terrain that acts as a one-way portal for a duration of 10 seconds. Any champion can enter the portal by moving towards it when near the entrance.
(R) Ultimate – Tempered Fate
Bard harnesses his magical abilities and releases a protective energy in a designated area. This energy causes all units and structures caught within its range to be encased in a state of suspended animation, known as Stasis, for a period of 2.5 seconds.
