MPL PH MLBB LAYLA GUIDE- THE ENERGY GUNNER

TIME TO SHINE!

If you’re new to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, the first hero you’ll encounter is Layla.
This marksman wields a gun and is easy to use, making it a great way to learn the basics of the game quickly.

However, if played skillfully, Layla can be a formidable opponent.
To help you dominate your enemies with the Energy Gunner, we have created a comprehensive guide that includes the best build, recommended battle spell, emblem, skill tips, and combos.

Passive – Malefic Gun

Layla deals increased damage to enemies who are farther away from her.
This does not apply to turrets. To make the most of her Malefic Gun ability, always try to attack from the furthest possible range.

Utilize the advanced targeting method, which allows you to specifically target a hero, minion, or turret to maximize Layla’s range.

First Skill – Malefic Bomb

Layla unleashes a Malefic Bomb in the targeted direction, causing physical damage to the first enemy it hits.
This damage has the potential to critically strike.

When the enemy is hit, Layla’s basic attacks and Void Projectile (second skill) gain increased range for a short period of time.
Additionally, Layla receives a boost in movement speed that gradually diminishes.
If an enemy hero is struck, the duration of the movement speed increase is extended.

Select this skill at level one to effectively harass your opponent in the lane. It is not necessary to hit a hero to activate the bonus range.
You can instead strike a minion, and then use the extended range to hit your enemy with Void Projectile and basic attacks.

This strategy can also be employed against jungle creeps nearby.
Once you successfully hit an enemy with Malefic Bomb, you can safely attack turrets from outside of their normal range using basic attacks.
To increase the accuracy of this skill, manually target it.

Second skill – Void Projectile

Layla launches an orb infused with Malefic Energy towards an enemy target.
Upon impact, the orb explodes, dealing physical damage to enemies within the vicinity while also applying a Magic Mark on them for a short duration.

When Layla strikes an enemy with a Magic Mark, she inflicts physical damage on nearby enemies and briefly stuns them.

During the early stages of the game, it is advisable to use this ability only when you successfully hit an enemy with Malefic Bomb.
This strategy will help you avoid approaching enemies and potentially placing yourself in a dangerous position.

It is worth noting that the extra damage and stun effect can be triggered by the damage caused by Malefic Bomb and Destruction Rush (ultimate ability).

Ultimate – Destruction Rush

Layla unleashes a powerful blast of Malefic Energy in the targeted direction, dealing a burst of physical damage to enemies in a straight line.

Passive: Layla’s Void Projectile and basic attack range is increased. Additionally, her sight range is slightly increased each time this skill is upgraded.

This skill can be used to finish off enemies or significantly reduce their HP, forcing them to retreat to their base.
However, it’s important to note that there is a slight delay before the blast is unleashed.
With precise timing, it is possible to steal a Turtle or Lord kill using this skill.

Thanks to the passive of Layla’s ultimate, she possesses the longest attack range in the game.
At maximum level, she can attack turrets from a distance that is beyond their reach, making her one of the most formidable heroes for sieging.

A recommended item build for Layla is as follows:

1. Swift Boots
2. Berserker’s Fury
3. Windtalker
4. Haas’ Klaws
5. Wind of Nature
6. Blade of Despair

By following this item build, you can optimize Layla’s damage output and ensure her effectiveness on the battlefield.
During the laning phase, start by hitting your opponent with Malefic Bomb, followed by Void Projectile and basic attacks.
It’s important to ensure that Malefic Bomb hits and you gain the bonus range before going in for subsequent attacks, so you don’t put yourself in a dangerous position.

Patience is key in gradually reducing your enemy’s HP, and it’s crucial not to dive recklessly, as the opposing team’s roamer or jungler could be waiting in the bushes.

When your target’s HP is low, finish them off from a distance using Destruction Rush.
Unleash this ability when they have already used their blink or dash, so they can’t dodge the ultimate.

During team fights, stay at the backline and continue using Malefic Bomb.
If you have the Flicker ability, use it to reposition yourself if necessary.
